Café Schlimbach in Bad Honnef

It is annoying that the road is closed for Ms. Schlimbach all year round without there being an event here. Garbage trucks have to perform adventurous driving maneuvers. Trucks have to take detours through residential areas, and all because the Cafe Schlimbach wants to do business here in summer.

Great Cafe. The cakes and all other goodies are recommendable and incredibly tasty. The owner is a very lovable one-off with a lot of heart. Since I've lived here, I've always seen her in a good mood, always full of ideas and great commitment. I find it extremely remarkable, especially during the pandemic, what brings it to life. I am glad that Aegidienberg has the Cafe Schlimbach and that Heike puts so much heart and soul into her activities. That cannot be taken for granted, a village needs people like Heike.

Very good cakes based on traditional recipes. Nothing comes out of the bag or the bucket here. An extra jug of eggnog is available with the eggnog cake. Where else can you find something like this? We always love to go there!

The breakfast was delicious and the service was very friendly. The food could have been a bit cheaper, but otherwise very satisfied. We were able to park in front of it. I would stay here again if I am close again.

The cakes are delicious and the shop is very friendly, that's definitely true. 😃 But I find it very funny that everything takes so incredibly long in the café ?! Meanwhile, the opening is already something, since you would have to have a routine? While the customers behind the counter say what they would like, you could actually top up directly, instead waiting first? The 2nd thing, why is at the weekend at 2 o'clock in the afternoon already only a selection of 3 cakes there? You would have to notice that this is too little. So all in all, you can say, a very nice cafe and I am glad that there is something in Aegidienberg. Only the organization the chaos, in the city would not run such a café, of course, there is also competition ...

Friendly service, nice casual atmosphere. Went with a group for breakfast. The food was very clear! Not even 2 rolls for each. On demand, more were brought. Unfortunately, the very clear surface was already completely eaten. Only after discussion was a little refilled. As we later discovered, a sparkling wine or orange juice would have been part of the menu. We are disappointed.

There are delicious breakfasts and many different cakes, all hand made and delicious. Manager and service staff are all very nice and friendly. Schlimbach's Café is worth a visit.
